ABOUT ME
Ariel Hui Chen is an internationally acclaimed Taiwanese pianist known for her expressive artistry, technical finesse, and collaborative depth. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota and has performed widely as a soloist, chamber musician, choir accompanist, and liturgical organist. Highlights include prize-winning performances at the Schubert Club and Mechelke Competitions, a featured recital as a Bach Rising Star in Taiwan, and appearances at the Bach Festival in Minneapolis, Taiwan’s National Taichung Theater, and Minnesota Orchestra Hall. With over nine years of teaching experience, Dr. Chen blends elite performance training with a student-centered, creative approach.

Dr. Chen specializes in professional collaborative piano and accompaniment services for instrumentalists, vocalists, ensembles, and choirs. With exceptional sight-reading ability and a nuanced collaborative approach, she ensures smooth musical partnerships, efficient rehearsals, and polished performances for recitals, competitions, auditions, and concerts.
Church & Choir Accompaniment Services
Dr. Chen brings extensive experience as a piano and organ accompanist for a wide variety of choirs, including church, children’s, Mandarin, jazz, and folk ensembles. She collaborates closely with choir directors to ensure cohesive rehearsals and expressive performances.
She also serves as a liturgical musician, providing thoughtfully prepared organ and piano music for church services.
